Chiang Mai Zoo and Aquarium
This zoo is open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm everyday.
There's an entrance of 520 (adult) 390 (children) baht for the zoo and aquarium, 150 (adult) 100 (children) baht for zoo only. There are a lot of packages since a visit to some areas have separate payment. To see the pandas you need to pay 100 baht and other things like transportation.
If you have a car you can drive around the zoo, because I'm telling you, it's a workout walking around the zoo. Make sure to buy some mosquito repellent spray.
The zoo area is about 8.4 square kilometers. There's so much to see in this place, spent almost 5 hours walking around it.
You can go to the zoo by car or by the red car/taxi for 50 - 75 baht depending on the distance. As for me I took the red car/taxi from Chiang Mai Gate and paid 75 baht going and 50 baht going back, which was funny. So rates depends on the driver, usually a near distance should be 20 baht only but for some they collect 30 baht. So I advice you to ask for the price first before riding. You can bargain if you think it's too expensive for the trip.
