Pattaya is one of the famous cities in the South of Thailand. There are tons of activities available for tourist in this city and I will be mentioning some.
Traveling to Pattaya from Lampang by bus.
We took the night trip, No-stop VIP bus. The bus is so comfortable and we were able to rest well for 10 hours. They provide 1 meal and a bottle of water as we enter the bus, then a sandwich for breakfast and some wet wipes to freshen up before going down. (Bus Fare: 600 baht - one way)

1. Koh Larn
Koh Larn is a popular destination for tourists as they visit Pattaya. It is an island located across the city of Pattaya. There are several beaches which are open for the public. We went there via Ferry at the Pattaya Pier and drop off to Tawaen Pier (Ferry Fare: 30baht - one way) and went to Tien Beach via "small bus" but actually it's like a pick-up with shade. (Small Bus Fare: 30 baht - one way) When we went to Samae Beach, we just walked since it's very near.

Samae Beach |
There are shades for rent (50 baht each). Tien beach is less crowded as compared to Samae beach but both beaches have clear water and clean sand. There are more restaurants in Samae beach. There are other activities available in the beaches but we were not able to do all due to the lack of time. And also at the pier, there are a lot of souvenir shops and restaurants.
2. The Walking Market
This Street is very popular for the bars and entertainments aligned along this street. They close this area every weekend. When we went there it was a little quiet than the usual due to the non-alcohol policy for the Buddhist Holiday. Well try to walk around this area and you might see something interesting. The walking street is also near the seaside and a lot of establishments (mall, restaurants, fast food...)
3. The Floating Market
The floating market is a wide establishment with a lake in the middle. It comprises of a lot of stores for souvenirs, clothes, food, and many more. You should also try one of the eat-all-you-can restaurants to satisfy your hunger.
4. The Overlooking Pattaya
5. Wat Phra Yai
This temple is just across from the the view deck of Pattaya. In this temple there are different Buddhas. A lot of people come here to pay respect and to ask for merit.
6. Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden
This place is just breathtaking with all the plants, structures and exhibits. We paid 800 baht for the entrance fee, this includes a cultural show, elephant show and a pass all around the garden. This is worth the try!

Dinosaur Area |
There are so much to see in this garden and I think spending a day in this place would be just lovely.
I hope this encourages you to travel and discover Pattaya! I did not include accommodations as we stayed with a lovely couple at their home. We stayed in Pattaya for 3 days and 2 nights. Estimated cost is 3,500 baht to 4,000 baht excluding the accommodation and some meals.
